Why should banks focus on SME Banking?

Because SMEs are very important for the economy but highly underserved by the incumbent banks.

Should banks reconcile themselves to being players in the new ecosystem rather than drivers of SME lending?

What potential do you see for Open Banking and PSD2 (and its equivalents in other regions) to drive new possibilities for SME banking?

PSD2 and Open Banking provide banks a great opportunity to strengthen the (digital) relationships with their customers.
